Bhagavad Gita with Sri M
May 2, 2025 - May 11, 2025
Sacred Grove, Graham, TX
SOLD OUT
We invite you to join a 10-day spiritual retreat focused on one of India's most important spiritual texts: the Bhagavad Gita. Throughout the retreat, Sri M will share the Gita's timeless wisdom, offering deep insights and practical applications for today's world.
Introduction to the Bhagavad Gita
The “Prasthana Traya” is the curriculum for the students of Vedanta (aka seekers of the Truth). It includes the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and the Brahma Sutras. The Gita encapsulates the essence of both the Upanishads and Brahma Sutras. It is a dialogue between Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield of the Mahabharata, where each of its 18 chapters declares that the study of the Gita is the study of the Upanishads, teaching Brahma Vidya (the Truth). This is not just a theoretical understanding, but a practical science for experiencing Truth.
Sri M says “The first chapter of the Gita is 'Arjuna Vishada Yoga’ - the yoga of Arjuna's dissatisfaction, sorrow, and confusion. It is an ideal teaching for everyone who lives in this world. Why? Because it was taught in the middle of the battlefield. We face the battle of the world. We are all in the role of Arjuna. All of us, in different situations in our lives, face the same problem. We don't know what to do, whether we should act or withdraw". The Gita's relevance is timeless, offering wisdom for today’s complex lives, just as it did during the Mahabharata.
